Merry Christmas !! :)
So as mostly everyone in the world would know, today was Christmas ! And what a great day it was! Last night (Christmas Eve) my two uncles and uncles girlfriend went over to my uncles girlfriends brothers house for a little Christmas Eve party. Her brother has two kids and so they opened their presents (they are young) and that was hilarious and fun. And after the kids went to sleep we had guitar hero competitions, me obviously being the winner of every round. All the while getting some drink on, which was more than nice and relaxing. However this morning it was a little bit of a bother when I woke up. My headache and mood changed quickly after I got out of bed, brushed my teeth and washed my face though. Because it was Christmas morning and what is better than Christmas morning with your family.
I grabbed my glasses and headed downstairs where my some of my family was awake and having some coffee. I joined and we all hugged and kissed and said Merry Christmas ! Slowly everyone made their way downstairs to the coffee and breakfast table and then into the family room for the stockings !! Stockings are usually my favourite part of Christmas because you get all the things that you actually need and the things that add up when you do need to buy them. Usually for me I get, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, all makeup, nail polish, nylons, socks, hairbands and elastics, face wash, body lotion etc… So this year since I am moving I asked to not really get anything for Christmas except an external hard drive and gift cards (as there is not a lot of space in my two measly suitcases to bring a lot of Christmas presents). So when I went into my family room I was fairly shocked to see that I had in fact received a stocking. This stocking however was one that was very well suited to my needs, and by needs I definitely mean wants. It was full of junk food and candy, a can of hot chocolate and some granola bars. Mmm I was extremely stoked when I got everything unwrapped.
After the stockings we head into the living room to open the big presents under the tree. It was great because I have a little cousin who I have talked about many a times on here, and the theme for her this year was kitchen stuff. So my aunt and my grandparents had gone to Ikea and bought a miniture kitchen for her and a bunch of miniture kitchen stuff. Things like pots, pans, bowls, cups, jars, saucers, plates, cutlery etc… And the great thing about all of this was that it is all real cooking stuff - all of the pots and pans are stainless steel and the bowls and plates are all clay and painted. It is adorable !
And for Christmas I ended up getting an external harddrive just like I asked for, and bigger than I asked for which was awesome I got a terrabyte when really all I asked for was like a 200 g. Just 800 more, no biggie. And it is great. Not to mention the gift card I got from Ikea (Thank you Laura), and the gift card for H&M (Thank you Andrew and Nancy). And some really adorable pajamas from my other grandparents, and bit of cash a couple dvd’s and a board game (Scene It : Twilight) Haha, so overall it was a great Christmas for presents for everyone.
After we open presents people usually go off and do their own thing, play with their new stuff, have a nap, work on dinner whatever. I came upstairs and put a bunch of stuff onto my external harddrive and ended up freeing 26.43 gigs of space on my macbook ! Which was awesome because I had like 3.56 mb. Which made it pretty difficult to do anything. And then dinner came around and it was incredible. My aunt bought a turkey that I swear was literally a third of me in size, not weight ! And it was cooked perfectly, I can honestly say that I don’t think that I have ever had a better turkey. Although, I didn’t really like the stuffing that she made which was a bit of a dissapointment because it is one of my favourite parts, it was pretty cool that she made something new and just tried it. And the pumpkin pie afterwards was made to perfection also.
So I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, my mom was very, very missed by me and the rest of the family but with the exception of her not being here I would say that Christmas was perfect.
